Hello 2016!

Hello 2016!

Georgina Westley

Happy new year to all my supporters. 2015 was an exciting year for me and like many of you, not without its bumps. I know the dents are often what gives us character but it can take a fair amount of hindsight before we come to see that. My husband was made redundant at Christmas 2014 and this surprise situation was the catalyst for me to stop dreaming and start doing.

I started selling my prints online in January 2015 and I really could not have imagined that one year on I have sold just over 100 prints. That's a lot of ink and a fair few trips to the post office, but more importantly it's a lot of support from you guys. My friends and family have been fantastic, special mention to Beth Anderson who has been so very kind to me. Starting a new business - however small - takes patience, commitment and dare I say it, a bit of courage.

This coming year will see more of the same from me; I will keep doing the travel posters that I love. Roaming the country from my laptop and trying to shine a light on the beautiful places that we all cherish. I will also try to be a bit more chatty in my journal posts. I felt that last year every time I wrote in my journal it was to show you a finished piece. But if you're anything like me, you'll like to know about the process too and get to know the person doing the creating a bit more. I suppose to be honest I just felt that I didn't have anything interesting to say, and I may well prove myself right but I'm going to give it a go anyway.
